Automated invoice chasing

Late invoices, chased automatically — in your client's language, with EU law behind you.

Set up an invoice once and Tracepine takes over: it follows up automatically in your client's language and tone, escalates with EU late-payment law if it has to, and stops the moment you're paid. No awkward emails, no spreadsheet to babysit — you focus on your work, and getting paid takes care of itself.

No spam — just a heads-up when we launch, and your early-bird offer.

Final notice · invoice #2026-014

Hi Müller GmbH,

#2026-014 for €1,800.00 was due on 22 May 2026 and is now 30 days overdue.

As this invoice is significantly overdue, statutory default interest now applies under the EU Late Payment Directive (2011/7/EU) as implemented in Germany, plus a fixed €40 recovery fee.

Regards,
Studio Nord

The problem

You did the work. Chasing the payment shouldn't be a second job.

Late payments are the biggest cash-flow killer for freelancers and small agencies — and doing the chasing by hand is awkward, slow, and easy to put off (so you get paid even later), especially across languages and borders.

  • Chasing eats hours you should be billing — or living.
  • Reminders in the wrong language get ignored.
  • It feels confrontational, so you delay — and the cash comes later.
  • You don't know your rights under EU late-payment law.

How it works

Set it up once. Then forget it.

Three minutes of setup buys you a collections process that runs itself.

1

Add the invoice

Enter it or import a CSV, with your payment details — or set a recurring schedule and never think about it again.

2

Set the language & tone

Pick your client's language (BG, EN, DE) and how firm to be — friendly, professional or firm. Tracepine writes every reminder.

3

It runs itself

Reminders go out automatically on a smart schedule, escalate to EU law if needed, and stop the instant the invoice is paid.

Why Tracepine

A collections process, on autopilot.

Everything a European freelancer needs to get paid on time — running quietly in the background.

Speaks your client's language

Reminders go out in Bulgarian, English or German — the language your client actually reads — so they don't get ignored.

EU late-payment teeth

The final notice cites Directive 2011/7/EU — statutory interest plus the €40 fixed recovery fee — for your client's country. It's a real, automatic entitlement, not a bluff: you're just stating what EU law already grants you.

Truly hands-off

Set the terms once and walk away. Tracepine sends every reminder on schedule and stops automatically the moment the invoice is paid.

Recurring invoices

Retainers and subscriptions invoice themselves on whatever cadence you choose — generated, numbered and chased without you.

No payment fees

Your IBAN or pay link goes on every reminder. No card processor, no percentage cut — the money lands straight in your account.

EU data residency

Your clients' data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt), GDPR-first. Built for European businesses from day one.

Every reminder, automatic

Professional emails that escalate on their own.

From a friendly heads-up before the due date to a firm final notice citing EU law — sent automatically, in your client's language, and stopped the moment you're paid. You never write or send a thing.

It's your right — not a threat. Statutory interest and the €40 fee are an automatic B2B entitlement in every EU member state under Directive 2011/7/EU. Tracepine simply states what you're already owed — professionally, and in your client's language.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do I have to send anything myself?

No — that's the point. Once an invoice is set up, Tracepine sends every reminder automatically, on a smart schedule, in your client's language, and stops the moment it's paid. You only step in if you want to.

Is it really OK to cite EU late-payment law?

Completely — it's your right, not a threat. Under EU Directive 2011/7/EU, B2B creditors are automatically entitled to statutory interest plus a €40 fixed recovery fee the moment a payment is late, in every member state, with no special steps required. Tracepine simply states that entitlement in your final notice. You're not inventing anything or making an empty threat — you're exercising a right EU law already gives you. (It applies to business clients; the clause is left off for non-EU clients.)

Which languages can it chase in?

Bulgarian, English and German today, with more of the EU corridor on the way. Each reminder is sent in your client's language and your chosen tone.

Do I need a card processor like Stripe?

No. Tracepine puts your own IBAN or pay link on every reminder, so payments land straight in your account — no processor, no percentage fee. (One-click pay links are an optional extra later.)

What about clients outside the EU?

You can still chase them — they just won't get the EU late-payment clause (that part is EU-only). UK support is a planned fast-follow.

Is my clients' data safe?

Yes. Data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt), and the product is GDPR-first by design.
